Shape from the Light Field Boundary
Ray-based representations of shape have received little attention in computer vision. In this paper we show that the problem of recovering shape from silhouettes becomes considerably simplified if it is formulated as a reconstruction problem in the space of oriented rays that intersect the object. The method can be used with both calibrated and uncalibrated cameras, does not rely on point corre...

متن کاملIntegration of a Normal Field without Boundary Condition
We show how to use two existing methods of integration of a normal field in the absence of boundary condition, which makes them more realistic. Moreover, we show how perspective can be taken into account, in order to render the 3D-reconstruction more accurate. Finally, the joint use of both these methods of integration allows us to obtain very satisfactory results, from the point of view of CPU...
متن کاملBoundary regularity for elliptic systems under a natural growth condition
We consider weak solutions u ∈ u0 +W 1,2 0 (Ω,R )∩L∞(Ω,RN ) of second order nonlinear elliptic systems of the type −div a( · , u,Du) = b( · , u,Du) in Ω with an inhomogeneity obeying a natural growth condition. In dimensions n ∈ {2, 3, 4} we show that Hn−1-almost every boundary point is a regular point for Du, provided that the boundary data and the coefficients are sufficiently smooth. Mathema...
متن کاملSoliton-preserving boundary condition in affine Toda field theories
We give a new integrable boundary condition in affine Toda theory which is soliton-preserving in the sense that a soliton hitting the boundary is reflected as a soliton. All previously known integrable boundary conditions forced a soliton to be converted into an antisoliton upon reflection. We prove integrability of our boundary condition using a generalization of Sklyanin’s formalism.
